Tags
Label tests for filtering, bulk runs, and scheduled runs across a whole category
Tags are color-coded labels you attach to tests. Once a test has a tag you can run every test in that category at once — from a schedule, the API, or a bulk run — without maintaining a hand-picked list.
Permissions
All roles can view tags. Admins and owners can create, rename, and delete tags. See Roles and permissions.
Create a Tag
- Go to Operations → Tags in the sidebar.
- Click Create Tag.
- Fill in the fields:
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Name | Required. |
| Color | Hex color. Use the color picker, click a preset swatch, or type a #rrggbb value directly. |
| Description | Optional. |
Rename or Recolor a Tag
Click the pencil icon on any row. All three fields (name, color, description) can be changed.
Delete a Tag
Click the trash icon on any row and confirm.
Deleting a tag is permanent
The tag is removed from every test it was attached to. Schedules of type Tag that targeted the deleted tag will no longer have a valid target and will fail on the next trigger.
Assign Tags to Tests
Tags are attached to individual tests from the Tests page. Select one or more tests and use Bulk update tags from the bulk-actions menu, or open a test and edit its tags from the test detail panel.
Use a Tag as a Run Target
Once a tag has tests, you can use it as the target for:
- Schedules — create a schedule with type Tag and select the tag. See Schedules.
- API — pass
tagIdto the remote-run endpoint with an API key that has Tests: run. See API Reference → Tests. - Bulk runs — filter the Tests page by tag and run all matching tests.
All of these run every test that carries the tag at the moment the run is triggered, including tests tagged after the schedule was configured.
Schedule Shortcut
On any tag row, admins and owners see a calendar icon. Clicking it opens the Create Schedule dialog pre-filled with Schedule Type: Tag and the selected tag.
