Connect an MCP client
Add the SmoothDeploy MCP server to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, or any other MCP client
The SmoothDeploy MCP server is available at /mcp on your console URL. Your AI client connects to it, goes through OAuth, and receives a token that lets it call SmoothDeploy tools on your behalf.
The easiest way to get the exact server URL and ready-made config snippets for your client is to open Downloads inside SmoothDeploy — the page shows your personal URL and pre-filled commands for each client.
Claude Code
Run this in your terminal, replacing <url> with the server URL shown on the Downloads page:
claude mcp add --transport http smoothdeploy <url>Claude Code will open a browser to complete OAuth sign-in the first time.
Codex
codex mcp add smoothdeploy --url <url>
codex mcp login smoothdeployCursor
Add the following to .cursor/mcp.json, replacing <url> with your server URL:
{
"mcpServers": {
"smoothdeploy": {
"url": "<url>"
}
}
}OpenCode
Add the following to opencode.json:
{
"$schema": "https://opencode.ai/config.json",
"mcp": {
"smoothdeploy": {
"type": "remote",
"url": "<url>",
"enabled": true
}
}
}Other MCP clients
Server URL: <url>
Config shape for clients that accept a generic MCP server list:
{
"mcpServers": {
"smoothdeploy": {
"type": "http",
"url": "<url>"
}
}
}After connecting
Once connected, your client will list the available SmoothDeploy tools. The agent operates under your account and is bound by your organization role — it cannot do anything you could not do yourself. See Tools Reference for the full list.
